Research Interest: In mammalian systems, MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have emerged as a central regulators in numerous pathological conditions. They are important in many viral infections, with different viral families manipulating host miRNA expression to facilitate their successful infection and persistence. My research interest to explore the regulatory role of miRNAs in JEV infection as well as JEV induced microglia activation and subsequent neuroinflammation. I am also interested to find out whether miRNAs playing any modulatory role in neural stem/progenitor cell (NSPC) infection of JEV.
